"Purple Tie Review:

I can't begin to explain how satisfied I am with Purple Tie. I will break my review down into four main categories:

1). Quality of service: Purple tie not only does dry cleaning, but they do laundering, alterations, wash and fold as well. I've used all of the previously mentioned services and all services have been top notch. Their services list includes shoe and purse repair, photo processing and eyeglass repair--I have yet to use these services but I'm sure I will will not be disappointed.

We use the dry cleaning service the most and each time, the garments come back clean, fresh and nicely hanging. If there are problem areas or stains, they might keep a garment longer but they make sure to call and let you know what is going on and when they anticipate delivering the outstanding garment.

2) Customer Service: I've spoken on the phone with a customer service rep and have also interacted minimally with the drivers. All are professional and polite. The employees of this company have been well trained to assist the client with whatever issue needs to be addressed and they have always handled questions or other interactions in a courteous manner.

3) Customer Satisfaction: 100% satisfied. I have never had hesitation using Purple Tie's services. Plus, it's so EASY!!! (See my phone app comments)

4) Phone app: here's the good stuff... They have a phone app. Most of the time, it's a one-click process for me.

I choose the "leave at door" and deliver at door option.

You stuff your items into the bag they provide after your first order, and leave it outside! Your order is processed and delivered THE NEXT DAY!

There is no requirement to list out what you put in the bag, no need to go to your laptop and set up an order. Stuff the bag, leave it outside. DONE.

Only if you have special instructions does it take a minute or two more...but you can input this all on the app!

Overall, this is the best dry cleaning and laundering service we have ever used in the Bay Area."

"I am a big fan of this place and I'll tell you why. I started working at a new place and I wanted to get our linen laundered. I saw a purple bag and I put 16 pieces table cloths inside the bag. I asked someone if I need to put any information on there and they said "N, we have an account with them." I thought great and I continued to put the items in the bag.

A week and a half go by and I don't see the linen I put in the bag so I decided to call and speak to Ingrid at the customer service desk to inquire about when the linen would be delivered. After several minutes, there was no trace of where my linen was because there wasn't any information written on there. I was freaking out because this linen is expensive and I thought what am I going to do.

At this point, it was elevated to Eddie who is a Manager and he said we will do our best to try and locate the linen for you. I even offered to go there myself and look. A month and half go by and he's calling and checking in saying we are doing our best to try to find the linen but I really felt that the linen was delivered somewhere else and I just had to accept it.

Then, a phone call comes in from Eddie and he says, we found your linen. It will be laundered and delivered on Friday. I was so HAPPY because I knew this was my fault for not labeling the bag with any information but what I appreciate the most was how diligent and determined Eddie and the people at Purple Tie to find this and take care of me.

"What a wonderful pickup/delivery, wash and fold laundry service in the Bay Area!! I noticed in a local paper that this service was available in San Francisco a month ago, so I decided to try their service. I am so happy with the results, as well as the 1 day turn-around time for service!!

First, the customer service is just incredible! I had trouble with my password and I called and spoke with Kay, who solved the problem in minutes. ( I also mentioned my problems with a previous service in S.F. which almost ruined our clothes with shrinking, no spot removals, delivery in 2-3 days, lousy folding, but mostly the horrible odors from their detergents. We told them we would never return. A Big Operation in S.F.)

Purple Tie picked up my clothes that same evening, with a call 5 minutes before arrival and returned the clothes the NEXT evening, also with a text before arriving. The clothes were securely wrapped and placed in their purple bag. All of the clothes were beautifully folded and placed in groups of like items. There was a light detergent smell but not toxic like the other place. Nothing had shrunk and the clothes were incredibly clean and spotless!

I contacted Kay in Customer Service, appreciative of the fast service, wonderful folded and clean clothes, and what a difference from the previous company! I highly recommend this company and a One-Day turn around on laundry is awesome. Great find! THANKS!!"

"Using Purple Tie is like having magical elves. After using them on and off for dry cleaning and regular laundry for the past year or so, I realized:

1) I've never spoken to anyone, ever.

2) I've never seen anyone who works for this place, ever.

So I don't know what exactly happens to my laundry after I leave it outside my door, but whatever it is, it's magical. Steve Jobs should come take notes from these guys.

I schedule a laundry/dry cleaning pick up online on their well designed website. (Seriously, I love the simplicity of it. You log in with your phone number, and you're dumped immediately on a page that schedules a pickup for the next day. All you have to do is type in any instructions and hit submit.)

I leave my laundry in a bag outside my door.

Two days later, it's magically back, with shirts pressed and hung, laundry neatly folded, ironed and wrapped in brown paper and string, almost like a Christmas present. Shirts and coats can go straight into my closet, tshirts and other stuff can go straight into my closet in neat stacks.

They have also conditioned my Ferragamo shoes on several occasions and always taken good care of my babies. They even once fixed a pair of glasses for me after I stepped on them and snapped the frame.

They are surprisingly affordable, with two weeks of laundry and a couple shirts costing around $40 for me."

"These guys are incredible. You might think that because you never see the employees of Purple Tie that it's a faceless business, but there is an incredible customer service group that backs up any problem you might experience -- as unusual as that may be.

I've been a customer for several years. Their prices are incredible, their work is great and the convenience can't be beat.

Sadly, there's a numbers game with dry cleaners and I think it's inevitable that something ultimately gets lost. I had this experience recently with Purple Tie. My nearly brand new Paul Smith dress shirt got lost, and when I noticed this, I called Purple Tie. I went into the call thinking I was going to be screwed, out of a pretty expensive shirt and needing to look for a new dry cleaner than matched their service and quality. However, to my surprise, they handled the issue way better than I would have imagined. Not only do they have incredible tracking infrastructure so that if the shirt ever enters their system again, I'll get it sent back to me -- but also they addressed the issue completely to my satisfaction. I know that in the extremely unlikely situation that anything goes wrong with my order with them, they'll handle it right.

I can't recommend them highly enough. Great work, great prices, outstanding convenience and unbeatable customer service."

"They say clothes don't make the man but unless your Zuckerberg, clothes do in fact define who we are or what the world like to perceive us to be. That's why our clothes is very personal to us. The relationship with Drycleaner's could be love / hate, for example, with another dry cleaner, we pointed out a chalk like stain on a pair of black pants and he literally licked his finger and tried to rub it off with his saliva.... so we found Purpletie and it's a rather sizeable shop which means that they have an SOP (standard operating protocol) so no cleaning with saliva. Now that doesn't insure that things always gets cleaned or there aren't small snags to the clothing. What really warrants the five stars is the customer service by Eddie Manio. He takes the time to listen and actually cares about your feelings as a customer. I feel much better after talking with him and having him tak care of the issues that arise from time to time. I feel like my clothes is in good hands. I hope Eddie continues to be a part of the Purpletie team and gets promoted so that he can spread his positive energy into the culture of the company. Realizing that no drycleaner is perfect, I'm sure glad that at least there is always some recourse at Purpletie by speaking with Eddie."
