"Update (1/16/2015): Wow. I've been a Purpletie customer for over a year and had previously left an honest but very critical review about Purpletie's practice of using pins which poke holes in garments to keep track of the ones they hand press. After speaking to their support the first time, I was ready to spend a sizeable chunk of my weekend looking for a new dry cleaning service. A day later one of their managers, Jonathan contacted me about the review and explained that they had implemented a new system to sort garments that need to be hand pressed which completely eliminates the use of pins (and unsightly holes) effective immediately. In addition, he informed me that Purpletie would be compensating me for my garment that was damaged by their old sorting process. This was clearly done in response to my review and a forward thinking move by Purpletie to provide a great customer experience.

Going forward, I would definitely recommend Purpletie. On top of unbeatable convenience (in-office delivery and pickup), they do a very good job. I typically send in 4-5 shirts at the beginning of the week and receive them before the weekend in perfectly pressed condition. I've even sent in shirts with rips and tears and received a repaired shirt that I was very pleased with.

I noticed a few other reviewers were unsettled by Purpletie's use of barcodes to keep track of garments. I personally prefer this method, all dry cleaners need to use some sort of identifier to track garments and Purpletie's method of tiny barcode patches are the least intrusive I've seen. On my shirts, they've placed the barcodes on the inner side of the garment and a couple of times I've actually mistook them for something put there by the manufacturer.

TLDR; Good customer support, great service, unbeatable convenience, would recommend to a friend."

"Oh my goodness, how I love Purple Tie! My current job is the first company I have worked for that offers Purple Tie. Prior to that it was such a hassle getting my dry cleaning done as more dry cleaners aren't open at the time I would get off work. I really appreciate how much easier my life has become thanks to this convenience. I encourage all my coworkers to sign up for it, because not only do they do dry cleaning, they also wash comfortors, fix shoes and purses (even unexpected repairs like fixing stitching on a vintage purse), and alterations.

Many years ago I used Laundry Locker, which wasn't quite the same but had the convenience factor. At some point though, they ruined a dress of mine and refused to take ownership of it, and wouldn't even give me a dry cleaning credit. I went from fan to writing nasty Yelp reviews. I've had a couple mistakes take place with Purple Tie (not ruining any items though, but just misunderstanding instructions such as resoling the wrong pair of shoes), but they have the best customer service, always going to great lengths to make any mistake wrong, and doing it with a metaphorical smile . Yesterday I had the pleasure of talking to Eddie on the phone as I had dropped off two shoes, one to have the complete sole re-done and the other to just be resoled at the heel. They switched the instructions by mistake, so Eddie not only told me to drop the shoes off and they'd repair it for free, but credited me $10 for my troubles.

I can't say enough about this service. Price is also pretty average as far as these services go. Will keep using them and raving about them!"

"These people are great. You tell them an hour-long window when they can pick up your things to be dry cleaned, between 6-10pm. Two days later (or one day if you pay extra), they bring the stuff back, again within a one-hour evening window that you specify. Delivery is free if you're dry cleaning more than $20 worth, and contrary to my expectations, the prices were actually reasonable. I got three sweaters, a dress and a skirt cleaned for under $30, which I definitely would not believe coming from most dry cleaners in Palo Alto...and I never had to leave my house. I just had to open the door twice. Furthermore, I could also have just left the stuff hanging on my doorknob and they would have come and taken it without even knocking if that was how I wanted to roll. Come on. This is totally awesome.

Frankly this is one of the better service experiences I've had in a while. This is a great idea for a company. I know they also operate at my workplace and I'm definitely going to check it out, but since I don't have a car, I think I'm probably better off just having them come get it at home. Anyway, I actually just wrote purpletie a glowing email because they are so great. Yes! Getting my dry cleaning delivered just made my day."

"What an absolutely wonderful service. The customer service is great, Ed, Ingrid and Arturo are a great team and they never let me feel like I am not being taken care of.

The cleaning is standard for a good dry cleaner but the money is in the pressing. I sent in a linen shirt (because linen is a pain for anybody to press) and they sent it back looking fantastic. I also sent in a white shirt that I had taken to a wedding which someone got red wine on and they sent it back looking better than my expectations. Red wine is tough to get out but whoever is cleaning those stains really knows what they are doing. My boots were not too old but had taken a beating and we're looking much older than they actually were. PurpleTie sent them back looking as close as brand new as possible.

Lastly, the service is quick. A lot of other people are complainers and whiners. 3 days for dry cleaning is pretty standard. Mom and pop cleaners usually take about 3 days so for PurpleTie to be able to offer a next day service through their residential (which I wish I could take advantage of) is nothing short of miraculous.

Would highly recommend them and trust them with my dry cleaning and all other services they offer."
